This major reconstruction is the first of a series of projects to ease congestion on the SR-32 corridor. This reconfiguration of the IR-275/SR-32 interchange included the construction of seven (7) bridges, one (1) arch on pedestal walls creating a tunnel under the eastbound SR-32 exit ramp to Eastgate Blvd., new drainage, new lighting, new signs, and a combination of new full depth asphalt pavement and rehabilitated existing asphalt pavement.
The new interchange geometry eliminated half of the cloverleaf and creating a new southbound 275 to eastbound 32 fly-over ramp which allows for better traffic movement to the east.
