Our aggregate products are used in a wide variety of construction applications including asphalt and concrete, residential and commercial, and agricultural and environmental purposes. Our products range in size from rip rap, large stones used for erosion control, to ag lime, a fine dust used by farmers to neutralize soil acidity.

Aggregates are sold by size, and production techniques include blasting, dredging, crushing and screening to meet our customer’s needs. Our quality control labs monitor and test our production materials to verify quality and gradation. We are also a prime source for calcium carbonate fillers that are produced at one location (Piqua Materials) by pulverization and air classification techniques. These fillers are widely used in mastics, fiber-reinforced plastics, and many other applications. Jurgensen Aggregates continues to grow its operations by adding the latest technology and equipment available. Our team is well trained and firmly committed to excellent customer service and satisfaction.

Agricultural Lime

PRIME SOURCE FOR BENEFICIAL SOIL AMENDMENT

As fertilizer, seed and other costs associated with planting increase, it is important that you – the farmer – get the most out of your crops. From corn to soybeans to wheat or alfalfa, it makes sense to want the highest yield by having the correct soil. Testing your soils regularly and applying the proper amount of agricultural lime to your fields will help guarantee a successful harvest.

PRODUCERS OF HIGH CALCIUM PULVERIZED AND GROUND AGRICULTURAL LIME

We supply lime to you in 50 lb. bags or via bulk loadout. We are centrally located just minutes from I-75 and I-70. Melvin Stone and Piqua Materials load dump trucks, dump trailers and even specialty ag lime spreaders.

FACTS

Our lime is 100% natural and not a byproduct. Using ag lime appropriately is one of the most important running efforts in successful production. Excess soil acidity is a primary constraint to high, profitable yields and long-term soil productivity. Ag lime improves the physical, chemical and biological properties of soil. It also improves symbiotic nitrogen fixation for legumes, influences the availability of plant nutrients and reduces mineral element toxicities.

DON’T PUT OFF, PUT ON. REMEMBER, HALF LIMED IS HALF ACID.

Industrial Minerals

Our industrial minerals product lines include finely pulverized products with a median particle size from 18 microns all the way down to 3 microns which are available in fifty-pound bags, 2000 pound super sacks, or in bulk pneumatic trailer loads.

Many of our products enhance the performance of adhesives, vinyl flooring, carpet backing, drywall compound, automotive sealers, and concrete sealants.

Started in 1865, Piqua Minerals is an expert in the manufacturing of pulverized 100% natural high calcium low magnesium lime. Conveniently located in the center of the industrial Midwest, Piqua has a strong commitment to superior customer service and product support.

Our Industrial products are available at Piqua Materials.

Recycled Concrete

RECYCLED CONCRETE

Concrete recycling is becoming a popular way to utilize aggregate left behind when structures or roadways are demolished. In the past, this rubble was disposed of in landfills, but with more attention being paid to environmental concerns, concrete recycling allows reuse of the rubble while also keeping construction costs down.

The Jurgensen Companies are committed to sustainability. We take pride in producing recycled products that are not only environmentally friendly but also high quality and ready for construction use. Contact one of our salesmen for more information.

Our recycled concrete is available at Wooster Materials, Enon Sand & Gravel and Valley Asphalt Corp. Plant 14, Valley Asphalt Corp. Plant 17, Valley Asphalt Corp. Plant 23, Valley Asphalt Corp. Plant 28, Eaton Asphalt Plant 1 and Eaton Asphalt Plant 3.
